Waranetta Kai English, a multi-faceted individual, was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. As a child, her dream was to perform onstage and to become an actress. She continued to strive in the performing arts focusing in theatre, dance and music. In her late-teens, she began having an interest in the fundamentals of filmmaking.

 

Waranetta Kai received a BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she pursued in editing. Thereafter, she continued her education and received her MFA at Parsons The New School for Design, where she concentrated in design and technology.

 

She has over ten years experience in post production in a wide variety of entertainment such as: films, documentaries, reality television, commercials, digitals, and sizzles. Collaborating with fellow directors, producers, editors, and assistant editors on projects that includes: Don't Make Me Go, Out Of My Mind, The American West, Home, Frenemies: Loyalty Turned Lethal and more.

 

Waranetta Kai continues to practice her editing and designing craft. Using her skill-set to work on creative and engaging material that will make a strong statement to responsive viewers.
